Most new buyers don’t realize Tesla has, or still has a referral system. Yes, they have and it is active, simple, and takes 10 seconds to apply.
Here’s everything you need to know, plus my referral code and how to use it.
What is the Tesla Referral Code?
In simple terms, the Tesla Referral Code is a unique link (website) & coupon that gives rewards to both the buyer and the existing Tesla owner who shared it.
It serves as a marketing tool to incentivize word-of-mouth promotion and customer loyalty.
When you purchase a new Tesla using a referral, Tesla gives you a reward automatically at checkout (sometimes it takes 24 hours to appear in your Tesla App).
It’s an incentive program to reward NEW or FUTURE Tesla owners AND existing Tesla owners for referring new customers.
Owners share their referral link, and when someone purchases a Tesla using that link, both the referrer and the new customer receive benefits.
What Rewards Do You Get?
Tesla updates the Rewards you can get frequently, but common rewards include:
- Free Supercharging (you can charge your car at gas stations for free)
- Credits in the Tesla app (so you can buy accessories for you car, or you can buy months of Self Drive for example)
- Discounts on accessories
- Early access perks
- Exclusive time-limited bonuses
* Some rewards might not be available during some seasons, or new ones could be added. Check the Tesla Website for a complete list here.
